JADE PEACE - Research & Citizen Science Coordinator 

Jade is a scientist who brings a passion for evidence-based conservation to her work with SBKN. With a background in biomedical research, she holds a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and an MSc by Research from the University of Edinburgh. She spent over five years conducting research at the University of Sydney, and has undertaken further training in ecology, sustainability and climate change. At SBKN she specialises in analysing and synthesising ecological evidence, translating scientific research into policy advocacy, and developing GIS-based spatial analyses to investigate road strike patterns and habitat connectivity. Alongside her research work, she coordinates citizen science and community engagement, helping connect people with the science behind koala conservation.

STEPHANIE CARRICK - Manager & Campaign Lead

Stephanie has a long track record of managing high profile programs and projects for the ABC, triple j, and SBS. After studying a Masters of Climate Change and volunteering as a wildlife rescuer and carer at WIRES, Stephanie now dedicates her time and energy to protecting wildlife and the precious habitats they live in. 

JEFF ANGEL - Executive Director, TEC

Jeff has forged alliances between countless factions in government, industry, business, and community, producing one constructive outcome for the environment after the other, since becoming involved in the campaign to protect the rainforests 40 years ago. He has campaigned on multiple urban and natural issues. He is also Convenor and Director of the Boomerang Alliance of 55 groups, which has won the container deposits campaign and is tackling marine plastic pollution.

Marijs Vrancken - Deputy Director, TEC

Marijs Vrancken is the Deputy Director of the Total Environment Centre. With a Master in Business Economics and a Master in Cultural Management, she is deeply passionate about using her business acumen to amplify campaigns battling environmental issues such as marine pollution, biodiversity protection and climate change. She has worked extensively with the community and with citizen scientists to increase the capacity of Total Environment Centre’s Projects.
